Gas and fees

Gas is the only network revenue. A transaction pays it in T-RAIN on this testnet and in RAIN on mainnet. A read does not pay gas.

The node requires a legacy transaction and a gas price of at least 476 gwei (476000000000 wei). That minimum is minGasPriceWei in network/besu/config/testnet.json. The public RPC's eth_gasPrice, and gasPrice from the relay info endpoint, both return that value on this testnet.

UTN Wallet, sponsored by an organization	The relay pays first. The organization refunds it from the organization contract when the member's gas budget and the organization's monthly cap allow it.

The page still calls eth_sendTransaction. It does not set the gas price. Details of the relay and reimburseGas are on Accounts.

What this page does not charge

There is no protocol fee on top of gas, and no separate network charge for a read, a signature, or a wallet connection. personal_sign does not spend T-RAIN.
